Briele Hansen

One of the first installation and film artists that really made me stop and think and her works still influence my own ideas strongly.
In this piece, her projection of a writhing figure on the bed presents itself struggling, rising up and then sinking back downwards into the bed.

Oliver Beer

With the rise of sound installations as a valid form of art since Susan Phillipz winning the Turner prize, I thought it was interesting to see other responses.
This is my absolute favourite.

Karyn Olivier

Great article here by Max Kazemzadeh.

He sums it up pretty much better than i could, my only comment being that i love how this has been developed from the idea of the 'complex emotional reality ..imposed upon us by parents and educators.' Something i could definitely get my teeth into myself.

He says it all really, especially if youre into arty bollocks.

Blind Light

Some more of my own stuff.
These were kind of a response to Gormley's 'Blind Light'.

Dark Room Experiments

Some of my own experiments in the dark room using photosensitive paper and various chemicals.

I think they'd make a cool book cover. Apologies for the shite scan quality.
Please comment, criticise etc or tweet me @WillYoungPhoto
